We are thrilled to announce and warmly welcome Joanne Lambon and Lady Jo Newby to our Barton Inclusive FC committee!
JoJo and Jo were elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 23rd July.
Let’s here from JoJo and Jo:
JoJo: “I am excited to be asked to join the BIFC committee.
This is an exciting opportunity for me to use my skills and give back, whilst being involved in such a great club that continues to back down barriers.”
Jo: “After three fabulous years of volunteering at BIFC Hull, my responsibilities have grown considerably from training coordinator to becoming the lead at the Hull provision.
This means I do lots of behind the scenes work with leagues, the FA and our wider club officials.
It was a great honour this summer to have this work and commitment recognised and rewarded by an invitation to join the committee.
I was thrilled to take on a more formal role as a committee member and will put as much devotion and effort into this new role as I do for all the endeavours I undertake for BIFC.”
Club Chairwoman Sophie Bartup shared:
“JoJo and Jo’s passion for making a difference within the world of inclusive football, their wealth of experience, and vision for the future will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the exciting journey we have ahead at Barton Inclusive Football Club.
JoJo and Jo’s unwavering commitment and efforts have made a lasting impact on our club and wider football community.
We are very lucky to have them both as leaders within our club.
Together, we’re committed to building on our successes and taking our club to new heights!”
Thank you JoJo and Jo for everything you’ve done, and continue to do for our club.
