Ahead of the Liam Jinks Cup on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, we wanted to share how excited we are as a club to welcome 47 teams to Barton-upon-Humber, as we celebrate and honour the memory of a truly remarkable young man. His name is Liam.
This event, the fourth annual Liam Jinks Cup, holds special importance, not only in celebrating Liam but also in showcasing our commitment to inclusive football.
We are incredibly proud that our club is leading the way in creating a space where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued, regardless of their background or ability and where football truly is for all.
We believe the Liam Jinks Cup 2024 will be a powerful reminder of how sport can bring people together, break down barriers, and build connections that will lead to greater change within our region.
Let’s look back at the previous three years:

So many wonderful memories.
We would like to say thank you to Liam’s parents Ann and Paul. Ann and Paul have wholeheartedly supported our vision since we first talked about honouring Liam in early 2021.
We look forward to welcoming Ann and Paul to Baysgarth Sports Village on Saturday 7th September, where they will be presenting the medals.
As we draw closer to a weekend of action, we would like to thank the many volunteers who have worked wonderfully hard to ensure we have the capacity and resilience to host an event, that involves seven competitions within two days.
Thank you to Tigers Trust for their valued partnership, and generous support.
Thank you to all the clubs that have entered and offered their help in preparations, this has truly shown us what special people we have volunteering within the game.
It’s events like these that reinforce our shared values and strengthen our community.
We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
Thank you,
Sophie, Lynn, Joanne and Jo, The BIFC Committee
