Four Teams, One Incredible Club: Barton Inclusive FC Shine Across Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire!

Sunday saw an unforgettable day of football for Barton Inclusive Football Club as four of our teams took to the pitch across two counties – and what a day it was! From walking football thrills in North Ferriby to electric energy in the Lincolnshire Ability Counts League at Clee Fields, the BIFC family was out in full force showing heart, passion, and true togetherness.

Walking Football Warriors Shine in North Ferriby!

Our BIFC Walking Football Team had a fantastic outing at one of our favourite annual fixtures – the North Ferriby FC Walking Football Tournament. The lads and lass delivered a brilliant group stage performance, qualifying 3rd and making it to the semi-finals! A tense 0-0 draw saw the game go to penalties, where we just missed out on a place in the final.

Huge credit to Gaz, who made his debut and didn’t disappoint – he brought his shooting boots and slotted straight into the team like he’d always been there! Already a valued coach with Barton Athletic FC, we’re buzzing to now have him joining us on the pitch too!

A massive thank you to Club Chair Sophie and volunteer Skye for being our cheer squad on the day. It was Skye’s first time experiencing walking football, and she absolutely loved cheering on her beloved BIFC. The team made her feel right at home – a perfect example of the inclusive spirit we’re so proud of.

Big thanks to North Ferriby FC for the incredible hospitality and atmosphere – we’re already looking forward to seeing you at our place for the Liam Jinks Cup later this year!

Lincolnshire Ability Counts League – BIFC Teams Bring the Fire!

Over at Clee Fields, three of our BIFC squads took to the pitch and did us proud in the Lincolnshire Ability Counts League.

BIFC Athletic (Premiership Division)

Athletic started the day with a nail-biting 3-2 clash against Boston in a game that could’ve gone either way. The boys showed great character, bouncing back with a commanding 6-0 win over Lincoln, thanks to an on-fire Captain Andy, who netted an incredible hat-trick in that game alone and finished the day with six goals!

Although the final match ended in a 4-2 defeat to rivals Grimsby, the spirit, unity, and determination the lads displayed was unmatched.

BIFC Pumas (Championship Division)

The Pumas had a fantastic day too, with Conner and Alfie making their debuts – both settling in seamlessly. The team picked up a win, a draw, and a loss, keeping their title dreams alive heading into the final day of the season!

Huge shoutout to Callum, who scooped Pumas Player of the Day after a top-class performance – well deserved!

BIFC Broncos – Calm, Composed, and Clinical (League Two)

The Broncos brought their signature composed style to the pitch and only conceded three goals across three games – a rock-solid showing!

Meanwhile, the dynamic duo – the Super Twins – and Kasper kept the pressure high with 20 collective shots on target!

Coach Chris had the tough task of choosing a Player of the Match and shared his philosophy:

“It’s not always about goals – strong defending, midfield control, or brave keeping all matter. But today, I couldn’t overlook the player who hit a hat-trick in games 1 and 2, then a double hat-trick in game 3!”

Congratulations to Brandon, whose exceptional performance even caught the eye of Lincolnshire FA representatives! A day to remember for him and the whole Broncos squad!

Together, We Are BIFC

Massive thank you to all our coaches, volunteers, and supporters who made this incredible day possible. With four teams flying the BIFC flag across different formats of the game, it’s clear – our club is more than just football. It’s family.
