Reece says ‘Thank You’

Reece says ‘Thank You’
14 July 2025 by bartoninclusive

Following the BIFC Hull awards evening, Reece, who went on to win the Coaches Player of the Season award, had prepared a speech expressing what BIFC and his team mates mean to him.

It was hoped that we would have an attendee who could translate this speech to the crowd as Reece signed it, but unfortunately they had to withdraw at late notice.

Reece would still like his team mates and the wider BIFC Family to see what his words would have been.

The attached is the speech that Reece put together.

“Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have given my speech to a wonderful Geoffrey because my interpreter didn’t come with me today, unfortunately.

I’m sitting with everyone so they who can see me here and I’m letting the lovely Geoffrey do speech for me.

I would like to say to a massive hearty thank you to everyone for such amazing and good teamwork while playing football since 2023.

Before I joined BIFC, I was living in London and King’s Lynn where I was growing up and playing football, I was part of some other teams and I have some trophies from those old teams.

It made me have the professional skills of a football player. When I moved to Hull and joined in BIFC it made me more improve my professional skills and work with other team players to make sure we get lots of wins.

Right now, we have done plenty of winning and I’m very pleased for you all guys and myself too.  I would like to massive hearty thank you to all the wonderful and amazingly coaches, especially Geoff and Craig.

I want to say thank you for all the lifts to games and I really appreciate it. I also would like to say thank you to Geoff for involving me and discussing how to work with players on, blocking, schedules, attack and defence.

I love teamwork with coaches and it’s really enjoying for me. I love to do both, playing football and working with coaches. This makes me happy.

I love encouraging and giving support to all the players in my team. I would love to help them improve their skills as football players and I would like see them become like me.

That is my job to make sure everyone gets stronger and develop fantastic skills to play football. I felt that they are like my brothers and we are a family for football professionals.

I’m really looking forward to the game against Barton Athletic at the Liam Jinks Cup. I will keep encouraging and supporting you all in every Friday football training to make sure we can give them a good challenge and hopefully win! I’m promise you that.

Now, I have an announcement for everyone. In the future, before I turn 40 years old, I will be stepping out of playing football. But this isn’t a farewell!

I want to become a coach in BIFC for you all guys!

Becoming a football coach with BIFC Vikings is my dream job and I will have a discussion with all the coaches to see if they will accepted me joining as a coach.

I will keep updating with you all and fingers crossed!  Thank you everyone and I’m very proud of all you guys. Keep stronger team! You can do it.”
